Forrest Galante is a name synonymous with the natural world, outdoor survival and wildlife expertise. Growing up in Harare, Zimbabwe, Forrest harvested a deep love and strong connection with the natural world that seemed to map out his future. After political unrest forced his family to move back to California, Forrest's involvement with the outdoors became stronger.

Forrest Galante has caught anacondas, swam with great white sharks, photographed venomous snakes, outsmarted a startled hippo, dodged an angry panther and had countless other adventures. He pursued a career in high-risk wildlife biology fieldwork, which focuses on animals on the brink of extinction. His hands-on approach with wildlife, love for the outdoors and one-of-a-kind background has led to the development of his own television program, 'Extinct or Alive,' on Animal Planet. The show follows Galante on expedition as he searchers the earth looking for animals believed to be extinct.
